Eves Power Bank Saves The Day

If you’re like me, your smartphone is virtually tethered to your hand. That’s the era we live in. And with extensive travel, we rely on our phone more than ever. We use it for maps, emails, calendar, taking photos, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, hotel bookings, flight bookings, travel research, note taking, exchange rate calculator, shopping, reading news, oh and sometimes making phone calls.

I’ve been in the unenvious position several times of getting stuck in an unknown city with no idea where we are and a flat phone. Face palm!

Fortunately this doesn’t occur anymore since we started using the Power Bank from Roaming Connections. What I like the most is the fact that you can use it for virtually any type of phone, tablet and MP3 player. And to top it off, we can charge 2 devices at the same time. So Erin and I don’t end up in headlocks over whose phone will be resurrected when they’re both dying.

Erin recently took the Power Bank on her press trip around Ireland for a couple days. It saved her phone’s soul on more than once occasion, but also her follow bloggers who were won over by their new tiny digital messiah.

The 3200mAh version provided enough juice to top up 2 phones, but that exhausted it for the day. So if you want to get a full charge on your phone and tablet or perhaps multiple recharges, you should consider the bigger brother, with 6400mAh capacity.

One last handy tip is that this device will charge just fine from a micro USB cable plugged into your laptop (assuming your laptop is plugged into the mains, so it doesn’t drain your laptop). This means Erin didn’t have to carry around an extra power adapter on the trip just for the Power Bank. Nice!

I now consider the Power Bank one of our essential travel tools, and wouldn’t leave home without it. Sorry Mastercard, you’ve been replaced.
