One night was all it took for me to fall back in love with Bangkok. The area we stayed in we had never been will living there for that month and I was in awe. It was so happening. An absolutely amazing location, being in the heart of everything and feeling the buzz and atmosphere. Check out our one night in Bangkok November stylz.
We have been to many places in Penang. It seems we have been the busiest we have ever been in this supposedly small Malaysian state. We have made friends, we have enjoyed beaches, played on playgrounds and had a “semi-normal” life… followed by an abnormal amount of things to do.
Back in May we packed up our home life in Perth, Australia and hit the road. It’s now November and we are celebrating, not only 6 months of exploration and discovery, but 200 days into our nomadic journey. I can tell you that in the last 200 days I have learnt copious amounts. And not only about my surroundings, but about myself. So where have we been for the last 200 days?
If there was ever a land to be picked to visit for me it wouldn’t have been Legoland. We don’t own Lego, I don’t build Lego, I never even dreamed of what a town made of Lego could be. But the idea of visiting this brand new theme park in Johor had me intrigued and on impulse we decided it would be worth the flight. AND BOY WAS IT!
It was hard work to find out about this place in Johor. There is no clear web presence, no signage on the way and well, i guess for a brand new theme park it has a long way to come. But I will always remember it as the day my 3 year old got stuck in the Thomas the Tank play area and had a toilet calamity.
Our verdict? Loved it! Perfect age for our kids. There was just the right amount of amusement rides and a great petting zoo. But all of that pales to the water play area for my children and they are still asking if we are going back today. Mia even asked if she can live there! For me, I loved the hot springs! And the Crystal Spa was to die for. My husband loved the majesty of the mountains and was in photographer’s heaven. We will be back!
