Andrew is spot on with these locations and it's so true.. How do you choose? Thanks for the new idea, Andrew!

With an absolute plethora of travel decisions to take care of when it comes to planning your holiday, as well as almost far too many travel companies to pick from, choosing your ideal holiday can often be a thankless task. With so many options thrown at you, hunting through for the best possible deals and offers can really hinder your ability to make a firm decision. What we need is some inspiration to help us make these travel decisions! Relentlessly searching the web or hauling home 10+ travel brochures is one way, but another is to let someone else do the hard work for you. I recently came across this handy all-inclusive holiday generator by UK based travel company Alpharooms. With this destinations will be recommended to you based on your answers to a few simple travel questions – have a look at their graphic.

To help you along I have included a few of my favourite worldwide travel destinations below. Read on for some insight into some of the world’s most beautiful and iconic areas.

Auckland, New Zealand

New Zealand has one of the most diverse selection of landscapes in the world. It’s the perfect destination for backpackers, travellers and general holiday makers alike. The one main drawback is the distance, particularly from the UK, which is a staggering 28 hour flight time, and of course it’s not direct. However we can guarantee the long-haul will be worth it and when you’re taking in the breath-taking scenery of beautiful still blue lakes, dense forests, sandy beaches and even snow-capped mountains. Discover the history of the world's largest Polynesian city through Maori treasures at Auckland Museum and experience the lives of 19th-century settlers at Howick Historical Village or try out one of the various multi-day hikes including a following The Hobbit trail and Lord of the Rings tours.

New York, USA

It’s the city that never sleeps and if you opt for a trip to the big apple you’ll certainly save a few sleepless nights as it’s certainly a decision you will not regret. The flight time from London to New York is a reasonable 8 hour journey and as long as you stick the more popular regions of the city ensuring that you’re near all the action you’ll never be short of things to see and do. Of course the transit system is a great way to get around the city and there’ll be endless sightseeing destination and iconic New York locations you’ll be able to visit.

Benidorm, Spain

A great destination for all the family that’s much closer to home is the popular Spanish seaside resort of Benidorm. There’s plenty there to keep everyone entertained of all ages, but the resort itself is particularly popular with the older generation, as well as groups of younger people looking for a good time. There are beaches, restaurants, bars and clubs to enjoy as well as water parks, theme parks and a zoo for families to visit nearby. If you are planning on jetting-off to the vibrant city of Benidorm, you might want to see if the Alpharooms Generator can find you the best package holiday for you.

Rome, Italy

This great historical city offers the visitor the chance to step back in history and visit the theatres of the gladiators or to drink from a street fountain fed by an ancient aqueduct. What other place on earth is home the Vatican and La Dolce Vita? There are activities for all the family, from the Explora to the Colosseum. The eternal city as it is nicknamed, will leave you with eternal memories.
