Where Should I Visit in Costa Rica?

Guest post by

Costa Rica is a well-known and well-loved country that has a lot of adventure to offer its visitors. Head to Costa Rica and you will be greeted by lovely, tropical weather, beautiful nature, and exotic wildlife that you may have never encountered before. What’s more, Costa Rica is perfect for beach dwellers or adventurers looking for an adrenaline high.

If you haven’t been to Costa Rica before, though, trying to decide on the best places to visit and stay can be very overwhelming. Of course, where you visit completely depends on what you want to get out of your visit and stay. For those who want to relax within a resort or at a beach, you will want to stay around the coast. However, for those who may want some sort of adventure, you may want to stay more inland.

Here are the best places to visit in Costa Rica.

San Jose

San Jose is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. There is a lot to see and do here, so if you are looking for a city experience, this is the place for you. The main attraction when staying in San Jose is to visit the museums so that you can learn about the history of Costa Rica. You can also visit the theatre as well as the markets and shops.

Montezuma

Do you want to be by the sea and natural wildlife found within national parks and reserves? If so, Montezuma is the perfect place for you. Montezuma is a small town found in the southern part of Costa Rica and is regarded as having some of the best and most mesmerizing white sand beaches. What makes Montezuma so popular, however, is that it has a popular surf beach, a turtle sanctuary, and is home to the Romelia Wildlife Reserve. You can also head off and explore the Montezuma Waterfall.

Palmar Sur

Although considered a small village, Palmar Sur offers a lot of fun and allows visitors to experience a more authentic Costa Rica than those that head to the more tourist-centric destinations. You can book a boat trip and tour around the nearby river and witness great wildlife. You may be able to spot kingfisher as well as reptiles, monkeys, and alligators. Nearby, there is the Corcovado National Park that is big enough to have its own 13 ecosystems. For those looking for adventure and to be one with nature, this is the destination for you!

When visiting Costa Rica, you may want to look for a private villa for added privacy. A villa can offer you the idyllic luxury that a hotel simply cannot. There are many villas you can rent in Costa Rica with chefs so that you and your family or friends can experience luxury.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country with a wealth of culture. Make sure you do not miss out and plan a fun trip that allows you to explore the environment, wildlife, and beaches.
