TWB proudly presents...

We did some fun stuff in Florida, like the Everglades & the Jungle Island, but this list gives me ideas for our next visit. So much fun for families.

If you want to enjoy your Summer Holidays in the sun shine state of Florida – start planning now. Although there are plenty of theme parks, Florida isn’t all about parks. Yes, you can visit Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center and a few other attractions located in the heart of Florida, however there are several activities and programs available for kids and families that offer entertainment, and even learning adventures, at an affordable price.

Just for kids

Whether you are looking for an educational destination, one filled with sports and shopping for the whole family, the perfect dining spots for kids or South Florida's best family-friendly special events and packages, look no further than Greater Fort Lauderdale.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Museum of Discovery & Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Young at Art Children's Museum is a great choice for the younger child, while Boomers will brighten your older child's day. For the animal-lover and budding environmentalist, don't miss a visit to the Everglades, Butterfly World and Flamingo Gardens. Scooter, canoe, Jet Ski and other water sports are sure to thrill the family.

Skating

Escape Zone Skate and Fun Center in Cleveland is a wonderful place for skating. Your kids can spend hours in the skating ring. A part from skating there are little power wheels cars in the toddler and the hamster wheels.

Visit Clearwater

Clearwater is a city in Florida that is close to both the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay and is lucky enough to bathe in the glorious weather of America’s Sunshine State.

Airboat Rides in Orlando

Located in the busy and buzzing city of Orlando, take an airboat ride into the infamous ‘river of grass’ for an unforgettable memory. From the beautiful scenery of the Everglades to the array of wildlife, this is a trip you do not want to miss out on. If you want to experience an airboat tour away from the buzzing city, there are a wide range of airboat trips coming from Kissimmee which is just outside Orlando city.

Camping

Another free activity filled with fun for the whole family is camping! Unpack the tent and sleeping bags and go camping in the backyard. Build a small fire or use the grill to make camping favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and more. Make sure to check with your local fire department on guidelines, as most fires in residential areas need to be out by dusk. Camp fire sing-a-longs and stories are a favorite for most kids.

A part from the above activities/places there are ample places to visit in Florida. This is the theme park capital of the world and the crowds come for Disney, Universal and SeaWorld Orlando. So if the top don't hook you in then spend weeks at a themepark.

What are you waiting for? Enjoy a blast of a time in Florida this summer.
